Oh Baby! Another Corona on the way! - Part 1

It's been a few months since the last "Corona Update". I'm sure all of you who read this blog have been waiting for the next one like a fat kid waits for the candy store to open. And so, the long-awaited day has come for..........more randomness from Corona's life.

It was in December that Steve discovered the news that would change his life forever, he was having a baby! (I know, scary thought.) Upon hearing this life-altering newsflash, Steve replied without hesitation "oh crap, I hope it's a girl! I remember what I was like." Having witnessed first-hand the rambunctiousness that are little boys (his two nephews), Steve was petrified at the thought that he too might have the joy, the pleasure, the almighty challenge that is a little boy. However, at the first ultra sound it was made clear enough for Steve that the bun in the oven was indeed a little girl. Sighing like a blown car tire, Steve smiled wider than the Mississippi River at the thought of holding a sweet little girl.

In the weeks that followed, Steve began dreaming about teaching his daughter how to ride a bike, to read, draw, and to use power tools. These sweet dreams, however, resulted in bruised shins and sore ribs. Apparently while Steve was sleeping soundly, all Bridgett heard was a chainsaw-like sound emanating from Steve's direction. This is when Steve discovered, conscious or not, it is not wise to irritate a pregnant woman - especially when she's trying to sleep. Eventually, after trying nose strips (which just left an embarrassing bruise on Steve's large shnoz) and throat spray (which seemed to work at first and then wore off), Steve was losing sleep as well due to the nocturnal attacks provoked by his snoring. So, the Coronas reached a compromise. Steve would try different sleeping positions to better align his throat and nasal cavity allowing for better airflow and Bridgett would gently shake him instead of throwing sharp elbows and knees when the inevitable snoring returned.

Back to the baby in Part 2 of "Oh Baby! Another Corona on the way!"
